Taking Francis Bacon's inspiration further: The Pope may not only scream, but also cry, and even more so, he might at times also be speechless with rage. In my imagination, he may be so enraged that he decides to make a "silent appearance": Black Mitra, black Pope's dress, and in addition to the usual crosses Mitra and dress are adorned with flowers. The Pope, clad in this "outfit", does not give a speech; adhering to his standards of countenance and dignity, he merely makes an appearance, baring his teeth. - Provoking, shocking - well, right on. The Pope, after all, is a human being. Yes, a human being serving as the Holy Petrus' successor and as head of the Roman Catholic Church. Unlike other churches, the latter holds the Pope in addition to be the representative of Jesus Christ on earth. This said: Has the historical Petrus, and has the historical Jesus ever been immune to human emotions like sadness and rage -?
