The Extended Family of my Childhood
35 artworks

In this category, I immerse myself in the memories of my childhood, which was dominated by the extended family, on my father's side. By the means of 'heads' painting, I bring them back to life. In addition, my memory produces childhood situations that I capture in childlike watercolor sketches.

Servant Of The People: The Man Without A Suit (2025)
15 artworks

The moment when Ukraine was pulled into war by Russia, a war of aggression that violates longstanding international law, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Selenskyj stopped wearing the usual presidential clothing, i.e. a western type suit. And he continued to stick to that habit, wherever he travelled to visit other countries' leaders. Nobody and nowhere, except upon Selenskyj's visit to the Whitehouse in February 2025, did he encounter criticism or questioning. Among other attacks during that White

60 Seconds - Shot Prayer For Ukraine
15 artworks

For each of the works in this series, I had exactly 60 seconds time. I couldn't help but think of the Ukrainian People struck by a war that violates fundamental international norms and conventions that stood for decades. Just imagine, for so many like you and me there is no more safety allowing a single good nights sleep. When the air raid alert begins to scream, people have barely three minutes to get into hiding. And how much time do they have for a shot prayer? Will 60 Seconds do? This said,

"Never again", was the international post-WW-II pledge, a pledge that led to profound and encompassing bodies of international law. in particular, waging war against another, peaceful nation was believed to be unimaginable. The works shown are, in part, studies with a larger project, done in oil on canvas, in mind.

Family: Observations, Memories & Fantasies
19 artworks

It is God's secret what's in our deck of cards. For better or worse, mine did not include a partner and a family of my own. Which is not unusual, or even typical, for a life dedicated to creation, consummated by art-making. This said, I find it interesting to observe young families in the café, when I go shopping etc. Sometimes, my observations mingle with my own memories, a process that sometimes culminates in fantasies. In this series, I capture my topic mostly in small format.
