Doing act (= nude) paintings and drawings has been a steady element of classical painting to this day. This discipline requires to work with a live model. It is common to join up with other artist colleagues to share the cost for a sitting model. In 2018, Marie was sitting for us. - As to technique, this artwork is special with regard to an experimental use of paper: I used an old, printed advertising brochure. It was primed before painting on it, and in a few spots the print shines through.
